5 minutes Warm Soba Noodles

A nice hearty, heart-healthy meal. Very simple to make but satisfying in a comfort-food kind of way.  Kids also love this simple noodle dish.

  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 TBSP Mirin (Japanese Sweet Rice Wine)
  • 1 TBSP Sugar
  • 1 Package of Annie Chun’s Soba Noodles
  • 1 TBSP White sesame seeds
  • 2 TBSP Cilantro- chopped

 

  1. Cook Soba noodle as directed on the package, drain and set aside.
  2. Bring soy sauce to simmer in a small pot
  3. Add mirin and slowly simmer for 2 minutes
  4. Add sugar and stir occasionally until dissolved
  5. Gently add the soba noodle
  6. Remove soba noodles and place in bowl until they dry off
  7. Once dried, toss sauce to coat, add sesame and cilantro
  8. Optional : served with a hard boil egg
